The 9th World Biomaterials Congress will be held in Chengdu, China from 1-5 June, 2012. The organizing committee, along with the Chinese Committee for Biomaterials and the municipal government of Chengdu, have being actively making preparation.

The congress will be truly international. Apart from the founding sponsoring biomaterials societies, USA, European countries, Canada, Japan, Australia, Korea, India, Latin-America, South Africa, Chinese Taipei and China, there will also be sponsorship and representation from many countries and areas. The congress will focus on Innovative Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, including the progress in clinical researches and applications, and address the leading research and technological issues in the rapidly changing field of Biomaterials Science and Engineering. An extensive technical exhibition of products and services will be accompanied by an industry-oriented programme. The congress will be an interdisciplinary forum for scientists, researchers, clinicians, industrialists and administrators, which should arouse your new idea in the frontier of biomaterials science and engineering.

The congress venue is at the New International Exhibition & Convention Center Chengdu Century City, which has modern facilities and is surrounded by many hotels with different price-degrees and styles.

Chengdu-the host city-is the hub of science and technology, commerce, trade, finance, transport and high tech-industry in west China. It is a modern city with a history of more than 3000 years, and is also a R&D center on Biomaterials Science and Engineering in China.
