23rd European Conference on Biomaterials ESB2010
September 11-15, 2010, Tampere, Finland /// We proudly announce that the ESB 2010 annual conference will be organized by the Finnish Society for Biomaterials in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Tampere University of Technology. BME has strong background in biomaterials research and implant development, thus BME is specialized in biomaterials, tissue engineering, biomedical measurements, imaging, and modeling. Biomaterials and tissue engineering research in Tampere is done under an umbrella organization BioneXt in two local universities, BME at Tampere University of Technology and at the Regea, Institute for Regenerative Medicine affiliated to the University of Tampere. BioneXt Tampere is an investment and development programme that focuses on biotechnological education, top-level research, product development, clinical application and possibilities in international commercialization. The programme unites the strong technological expertise in the Tampere region with new biological and medical research in three areas of focus: biomaterials and tissue technology, Bio-ICT and immunology. The BME organization comprises altogether about 200 (?) people working within biomaterials and tissue engineering in the two universities.
Traditionally ESB conferences attract scientists, medical professionals, manufactures and marketing professionals from the biomaterials, medical device and pharmaceutical industry. The scientific content of the ESB 2010 conference will be designed to fill the requirements created by the diversity of the participants.
The organization committee welcomes all the professionals and friends in the research field of biomaterials and regenerative medicine to Tampere to participate in the ESB 2010 Annual Meeting on Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering.
